Ooo ... nasty.

But we saved the trees.

I guess that is part of what "taking dominion" is about ... defeating the pests by diligence.

Press on brother.JFChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15790656871518586516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13729569.post-1150497992942214352006-06-16T18:46:00.000-04:002006-06-16T18:46:00.000-04:00hmmm....Woodchuck you say.I've never ate woodchuck...hmmm....Woodchuck you say.

I've never ate woodchuck but my dad has, I'll ask him how it was fixed. I think he said it was roasted in the oven. I took a quick glance at my hillbilly cookbooks and see that woodchuck is an acceptable substitute in most of the rabbit and squirrel recipes.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13729569.post-1150463103763264472006-06-16T09:05:00.000-04:002006-06-16T09:05:00.000-04:00Ugh, I despise slugs. Having tried to tend a flower garden in England and have it completely destroyed by slugs I loathe the beasts. Moby Dick slugs are what I had there. Did you know they will eat your carpet away and turn the same color as the carpet...and what naturally occurs then,,,,,well, you unknowingly STEP on them. Now, is your skin crawling? Herrick, to make up for the mention of slugs in your post, how about a lovely picture of Marlene's bread ready to go to market? Thats a much better thought.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13729569.post-1150444650393081602006-06-16T03:57:00.000-04:002006-06-16T03:57:00.000-04:00Herrick, I received your book Wednesday. Also, could you send some of that rain and cool that you wrote about (especially the rain) out here to the plains states. The farmers around here are harvesting wheat yields as low as 8 bushels per acre. Others are worried the pastures will give out early. We have 80% chance of heavy rain tonight.Hopeful Agrarianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02054928319608255961noreply@blogger.com
