I recently read their book "Our Sun-Heated Greenhouse." I inheirited it from my mom who put some of the things into practice when we lived in VT in the 80's. To me, living here in SE Missouri, it's almost useless! [laf] Interesting, at any rate. A hardworking couple, yes, but definitely missing the most important things.
Still looking for some greehousey materials more applicable to my locale....Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13729569.post-90945973244640060332007-10-02T12:17:00.000-04:002007-10-02T12:17:00.000-04:00"No, I did not think the comment funny. I thought it foolish, and I felt a pang of sadness for Scott Nearing.

As I work at living the good life here with my family on this little spot of land, I do so with a full awareness that everything I enjoy in this life is a blessing from God. His grace and mercy sustain me. And were it not for Jesus Christ, there would be no good life."

So very well written. I also think he did not say "hello" to Jesus, but I know Scott did speak and what he spoke about because Scripture tells us so:

...For we will all stand before the judgement seat of God. For it is written, "As I live, says the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall give praise to God." So then each one of us will give an account of himself to God. (Romans 14:10-12)

Herrick, thank you for your faithfulness and not being conformed to the world with laughter of ignorance during the viewing of the Nearing film.

Lynne and I are so pleased that you, the lovely Marlene, Robert and James, were blessed with a well deserved, agrarian/edutainment family vacation.

We are blessed reading of your adventures.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13729569.post-29983570805557596512007-09-29T07:15:00.000-04:002007-09-29T07:15:00.000-04:00hey jo,I'm looking forward to reading your blog.
