It was strange that she said she was verifying addresses..considering she didnt ask me anything. Wasnt until a few days ago my husband heard on crosstalk about the creepy GPS thing and then I mentioned this lady coming and we figured it must be this GPS. The revolting thing to me is that nobody seems to know what is going on and what these people are doing. They seem to be lying to people instead of just coming clean. Makes you feel all the weirder about it.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13729569.post-16580543740858210162009-05-20T12:54:07.318-04:002009-05-20T12:54:07.318-04:00Yes, I think many of us have had to endure Aldrous...Yes, I think many of us have had to endure Aldrous Huxley's "Brave New World" in college. I found it to be an "interesting" read but I didn't read it until graduate school. We were being taught by a wonderful professor (Paul Feinberg, now with the Lord) who had co-written with his brother John "Ethics for a Brave New World". A wonderful book. You might like to read it. It is more about Christian ethics and values than about science fiction and government.Chrishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08324830040398227202noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13729569.post-22698411946782263642009-05-15T23:20:00.000-04:002009-05-15T23:20:00.000-04:00I had an interesting experience with a pair of cen...I had an interesting experience with a pair of census ladies. They were lost as lemonade in our rural area. They got out of the car covered in mud and asked if I could tell them which "streets" were streets and which ones were driveways. They had been walking down driveways (after a torrential downpour) all afternoon. They were doing the map out of order because they couldn't figure out where they were. I was also told that they were to go to the front door and "put a dot on the map"... they did not get access to the door, though, because I was gardening and had parked my van in the middle of the driveway, and they weren't up for another hike.VoiceInTheWildernesshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16027905882847497714noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13729569.post-12653007373903720872009-05-15T10:17:00.000-04:002009-05-15T10:17:00.000-04:00I kinda wonder if the "census" lady taking picture...I kinda wonder if the "census" lady taking pictures is actually the Google Earth people getting images for their "street view" (if you look up your address on maps.google.com, it will show you a picture of your house). You can ask that they remove it. I find all this kind of stuff for us rural people to be extremely intrusive, and even possibly dangerous for us.Tracyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00337693304549137625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13729569.post-28816786853661368622009-05-08T01:03:00.000-04:002009-05-08T01:03:00.000-04:00Hello. My husband asked him what he was told to do, and he said to take a picture of the front door along with the GPS coordinates, so that next year, when Rahm Emmanuel takes over the census (instead of the dept. of commerce) they'll be able to have accurate, detailed, GPS maps of anyone who doesn't answer the questions. I don't see what people like about these books as all I see is nothingness. I think 1984 turned me off when I read "I have purity". But it would appear that she was lying. She was GPS marking the door. That is, in my opinion, much worse than taking a picture. It can be done by changing the color of the lettering to match the background color. But it turns out that also changes the color of all blockquotes, like the excerpts from Huxly, and makes them disappear too. So I guess the confusing dates at the top of the blog will have to remain. :-(Herrick Kimballhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17116051416696885647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13729569.post-85466285266375724652009-05-01T06:02:00.000-04:002009-05-01T06:02:00.000-04:00Hi anonymous,
