Whizbang Gardening
News

Dateline: 17 February 2016 AD

I have good news for people who have already purchased a copy of The Planet Whizbang Idea Book For Gardeners, and for those who have not yet purchased a copy.

First, if you have a copy of the book, and you have not been to the special hidden web site I created for readers of the book, please go there and check out the updated information I've recently added to the site. There are currently 30 pages and over 200 photos that serve to expand on the information that is in the book, and to provide other gardening ideas.

Unfortunately, many people who purchase the book completely miss the special web site. So I'm on a mission to make it more clear to book purchasers that there is much more to this book than just the book. Details for accessing the web site are on the last page of the book.

Second, I have created a Whizbang Gardening Facebook Page. I hope to post lots of pictures with gardening quotes (like shown above), which are a lot of fun to put together. I'll also post links to my own gardening essays and other gardening information on the internet that I find of interest.

I can foresee my time for writing this blog will be less and less as the weather warms and my life gets much busier with garden and business concerns. When that happens, I think I'll probably just focus on garden "bits," most of which will be at the Facebook page. Somehow, I need to free up more time.

So, if you would stop by the Facebook page and "like" it and "share" whatever you think might be of interest to others, that would be great. Thanks.

And finally, I'm pleased to announce that I have applied the copy-editing changes to the book's pages and scanned the whole book into a PDF file. It was a surprisingly tedious job that I'm glad to have done!  Those who are interested can now purchase a PDF copy of the book for only $12.95. I may raise that price in the future. But, for now, I want more people to get this book and put some of the ideas to work.

T-post trellis spans. Tire sidewall cloches. Mark Albert's caterpillar cloche system. E.P. Roe's strawberry-growing advice. Solar pyramids, Bush-planting raspberries. Tri-growing carrots (with shade discs). Soil mineralization. Those ideas and topics are among the best in the book and can make an enormous difference in the success of any garden.

Full details about the book and ordering buttons are at www.WhizbangGardening.com

Count me as one who failed to read the last page of the book... Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

BTW - I am totally on-board with the property rights issue; it is the core issue of liberty. I guess I try to balance it with the Sovereignty of God pointed out in Romans 13:1-7. My great-uncle lost his beautiful bottomland farm when I-69 cut through in the early 1960's - He bought another farm and kept living.

Elizabeth L. Johnson says,
Right, Jonathan! Our rights outlined by God are Life, Liberty, and Property. Not Life, Liberty, and Happiness. In old pilgrim/patriot writings like William Bradford's Plimouth Plantation, they knew it was "property"!!
